Traction Plant Hire have been hiring to the construction industry for over 30 years supplying a diverse range of quality equipment ranging from diggers & dumpers to aerial booms & scissor lifts.
Latterly our range of plant has extended to 3 ton mini diggers, 3.5 ton rotoskip dumpers, 250cfm compressors and TV1200 tandem rollers.
Our Aerial access division has also expanded and we now operate trailer mounted booms upto 17 metres, tracked booms upto 14 metres and electric scissor lifts upto 12 metres.
We are particularly known for our fleet of Supacat Multi Terrain Multi Purpose vehicles which we have been supplying to organisations such as the MOD, utility contractors and geophysical companies for the last 20 years. We also operate a number of Hagglunds Tracked Carriers for the ultimate in ground sensitive multi terrain operations.
Still owned and operated by the founder, Tim Bloomer, Traction are British Standard Quality Assured to ISO 9001: 2000 and in January 2007 were recognised as an Investor in People for our commitment to training.

Traction Equipment supacat and hagglunds multi terrain vehicles
Traction Equipment operate the ONLY substantial hire fleet of multi terrain Supacats and amphibious vehicles in the U.K Supacats can transport people or loads of up to 1 tonne over all terrain ground with only the minimum of damage to the surface. Traction Supacats can perform many tasks that previously could only be carried out by helicopters. Traction Equipment also have the ONLY Hagglunds BV 206's available for hire in the U.K. Under particularly tough conditions, Hagglunds are at home. Where steel tracks damage sensitive landscape, the Hagglunds BV 206 all terrain vehicles are rugged, yet gentle on the terrain.
